Testimonials of the St. Michaels Bed, MD and Breakfast Experience at Wades Point
Explore the experiences of guests at our St. Michaels, MD bed and breakfast at our inn on the East Shore of Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay.
– a very well-priced stay on the Eastern Shore offering breathtaking views and thoughtful, low-key hospitality. It is a peaceful oasis that within minutes of arrival completely melts away any stresses… whether you want to fall asleep in a hammock, tuck into an Adirondack chair with a good book, or take out one of their kayaks… You’ll see unbelievable sunrises and gorgeous sunsets, and on a clear night the sky is blanketed with stars. Amazingly quiet – the lapping of the water at the shore, the bullfrogs at night, and the birds are all that you’ll hear. The rooms in the newer building all have waterfront views with porches, which is where we stay. Although the rooms themselves aren’t fancy, they are spotless and very well cared-for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
This inn is located on a beautiful point on the Chesapeake Bay with gorgeous vistas, perfect view of the sunset, and sprawling grounds dotted with your choice of seating and lounging~hammocks for two, Adirondack love seats, lounge chairs, you name it. The rooms were very clean and decorated tastefully, although could use a little updating. However, for the price, I felt they were an incredible value. The breakfasts were delicious and served in a Victorian style sunporch with private seating. The service was very gracious and typical of Southern Hospitality. My favorite part, though, was no tv to distract my husband! He missed it a little, but admitted that it was nice to have a completely restful and romantic weekend!

I have never been so happy at a place, and we went to Maui for our Honeymoon.
After seeing what the town of St. Michael’s has to offer for B&B’s we are so happy we chose this place
We took the Kayaks onto the bay, laid on one of the hammocks and watched the sun go down.
I can close my eyes and still see this place.
The room was fine, clean and comfortable, but not fancy – the views were awesome from the Sunrise room we stayed in. The grounds and bikes/kayaks were nice but not fancy. If you are looking for fancy, not the place for you – but we don’t look for fancy, so it was close to perfect.
but agree with some comments that it could have been better. The location is phenomenal, the views are great – there are no downsides there. At most B&Bs we’ve stayed at you never actually see anyone sitting in those Adirondack chairs, but here (even with 15 mph winds and 60 degree temps in October) those chairs were all in use.
The grounds are wonderfully relaxing and the rooms are decorated nicely. We enjoy going into town (St. Michaels), but are perfectly satisfied just sitting in the adirondack chairs and watching and listening to the bay and the boats.
We had a fantastic time. The Inn is charming and old. It reminded me of the times as a child staying with my Grandparents.
The proprietor is warm and gracious. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and serene.
We took our boat and that was no problem at all.
The photo speaks for itself.
This is what we did. No phones, TV’s, noise, just peace and quiet. We lost track of time every day that we were there. Cozy place to stay, warm, very friendly staff, fantastic breakfast every morning.
We had the place to ourselves the weekend before memorial weekend, and in fact our first night there we were the only ones occupying the old original house. We got upgraded for free to the best room there and it had its own (huge) private balcony off the bathroom, complete with two rocking chairs, plus another balcony off to the water on the other side with two dockside chairs. The American flag flying off the bathroom balcony with the lush foliage and quaint farmhouse across the yard gave me plenty of photo opportunities during our two night stay. We relaxed after breakfast every morning reading our Kindles on the dock by the water listening to the water lap at the edge of the dock and getting some morning sun. For die-hard sunbathers there are lounge chairs along the edge of the water where one could lay and catch a tan. We also lingered at the dock during and after sunset both nights which also provided for some nice photo opportunities. It was a great time with my mom and I hope we can return there someday soon. Oh I almost forgot, we went sailing on the Lady Patty with Captain Chris Richards, and it was a highlight of our time in St. Michaels/Tilghman Island. We were the only two on the sailboat – how lucky were we??
